Ripe DAO Governance Token (RIPE) Information
Ripe Protocol is an onchain credit protocol for borrowing against tokenized assets, with tokenized stocks as its primary focus. Users deposit collateral and borrow GREEN, an overcollateralized stablecoin pegged to the US dollar. GREEN is minted against the user's collateral when they borrow and burned when they repay. There is no lender on the other side of a loan, so borrowing settles in seconds without a bank, a credit check, or a sale of the underlying position.
Ripe is live on Base and Robinhood Chain. Tokenized stocks, including SpaceX, Nvidia, Tesla, Apple, Google, and GameStop, serve as collateral priced by Chainlink equity feeds, alongside crypto assets, stablecoins, and yield-bearing positions. The protocol brings a practice long used by wealthy investors, borrowing against a portfolio instead of selling it, to anyone holding tokenized stock: deposit the shares, borrow dollars against them, and keep both the position and its upside.
Everything a user deposits backs a single loan, with borrowing terms set per asset. The protocol is open source and has been audited by ChainSecurity and Anatomist.
Ripe DAO Governance Token (RIPE) Tokenomics: Key Metrics Explained and Use Cases
Understanding the tokenomics of Ripe DAO Governance Token (RIPE) is essential for analysing its long-term value, sustainability, and potential.
Key Metrics and How They Are Calculated:
Total Supply:
The maximum number of RIPE tokens that have been or will ever be created.
Circulating Supply:
The number of tokens currently available on the market and in public hands.
Max Supply:
The hard cap on how many RIPE tokens can exist in total.
FDV (Fully Diluted Valuation):
Calculated as current price × max supply, giving a projection of total market cap if all tokens are in circulation.
Inflation Rate:
Reflects how fast new tokens are introduced, affecting scarcity and long-term price movement.
Why Do These Metrics Matter for Traders?
High circulating supply = greater liquidity.
Limited max supply + low inflation = potential for long-term price appreciation.
Transparent token distribution = better trust in the project and lower risk of centralised control.
High FDV with low current market cap = possible overvaluation signals.
