Holders Drive the Selling as Big Money Stays Cautious

Steady outflows from mid- and long-term holders are undermining Solana’s recent strength. Glassnode’s HODL Waves metric — which tracks how long coins stay untouched before being moved — shows a clear drop among conviction holders.

Wallets holding Solana for 1–2 years have reduced their share of the supply from 20.33% to 18.48%, while 3–6 month holders fell from 12.7% to 11.55% this month.

This change signals profit-taking among patient investors, a bearish development that often precedes short-term corrections.

The Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) — a tool that measures big-money inflows and outflows — adds to this view. After briefly rising above zero on October 27, CMF turned negative again and has failed to recover since. That means institutional buyers are not adding aggressively, even after recent dips.

During recovery or range-bound moves, these big money flows often offset the cohort-based selling waves. That isn’t happening currently. Instead, CMF turning negative is adding to the “sell” pressure, strengthening the Solana price pullback narrative.

Big Money Flow Restricted: TradingView

Unless CMF climbs back above 0.06, Solana’s recovery will likely stay weak. These combined on-chain and big-money signals show why sellers remain in control despite last week’s bounce.

Weak Structure Points to Another Leg Down For The Solana Price

On the daily chart, Solana’s pattern supports the bearish setup. Between October 13 and October 30, the SOL price formed a lower high. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) — which measures buying and selling strength — made a higher high.

This formation is a hidden bearish divergence, and often appears before trend continuation to the downside. It shows that even though the momentum indicator rose, the actual price couldn’t keep up, indicating that selling pressure still dominates.

Solana has already slipped 6% over the past 30 days (a downtrend signal), suggesting this hidden divergence could soon play out. If the price falls below $192 (about 3% below the current level), it may confirm the start of a deeper pullback toward $182 and possibly $161.

Solana Price Analysis: TradingView

The only way to invalidate this bearish view would be a daily candle close above $206. That could push Solana toward $237. Until then, the structure stays fragile and tilted toward more downside.

Cashing In On University Patents Means Giving Up On Our Innovation Future

The post Cashing In On University Patents Means Giving Up On Our Innovation Future appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. “It’s a raid on American innovation that would deliver pennies to the Treasury while kneecapping the very engine of our economic and medical progress,” writes Pipes. Getty Images Washington is addicted to taxing success. Now, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick is floating a plan to skim half the patent earnings from inventions developed at universities with federal funding. It’s being sold as a way to shore up programs like Social Security. In reality, it’s a raid on American innovation that would deliver pennies to the Treasury while kneecapping the very engine of our economic and medical progress. Yes, taxpayer dollars support early-stage research. But the real payoff comes later—in the jobs created, cures discovered, and industries launched when universities and private industry turn those discoveries into real products. By comparison, the sums at stake in patent licensing are trivial. Universities collectively earn only about $3.6 billion annually in patent income—less than the federal government spends on Social Security in a single day. Even confiscating half would barely register against a $6 trillion federal budget. And yet the damage from such a policy would be anything but trivial. The true return on taxpayer investment isn’t in licensing checks sent to Washington, but in the downstream economic activity that federally supported research unleashes. Thanks to the bipartisan Bayh-Dole Act of 1980, universities and private industry have powerful incentives to translate early-stage discoveries into real-world products. Before Bayh-Dole, the government hoarded patents from federally funded research, and fewer than 5% were ever licensed. Once universities could own and license their own inventions, innovation exploded. The result has been one of the best returns on investment in government history. Since 1996, university research has added nearly $2 trillion to U.S. industrial output, supported 6.5 million jobs, and launched more than 19,000 startups. Those companies pay…

AlphaPepe Outshines Ethereum Amid Market Volatility

AlphaPepe Outshines Ethereum Amid Market Volatility

The post AlphaPepe Outshines Ethereum Amid Market Volatility appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Crypto News As crypto markets experience renewed volatility, Ethereum (ETH) — long regarded as the backbone of decentralized finance — continues to hold its ground around the $3,900–$4,000 range. Despite maintaining strong fundamentals, Ethereum’s price action has slowed, leaving investors searching for new high-momentum opportunities. Enter AlphaPepe (ALPE) — a fast-rising presale project built on the BNB Chain that’s capturing attention for its unique blend of meme-driven energy, audited transparency, and early-stage engagement. While Ethereum remains a cornerstone of the crypto ecosystem, AlphaPepe is quickly establishing itself as the best crypto to buy now, especially for investors seeking early growth potential in an unpredictable market. Ethereum Holds Steady but Faces Growth Limitations Ethereum continues to be one of the most trusted and adopted blockchain networks, powering everything from NFTs to DeFi applications. Its long-term fundamentals are unshakable: staking participation is increasing, Layer-2 scaling is improving, and developer activity remains among the highest in the industry. Still, Ethereum’s short-term performance reflects its maturity. Trading near $4,000, ETH has reached a phase where its growth is slower and largely dependent on macro conditions, network upgrades, and institutional inflows. While analysts expect Ethereum to reclaim and surpass its previous highs, its upside potential now unfolds over longer timeframes. This slower pace is why some investors are turning to smaller, more agile projects with tangible mechanics and real-time community engagement — and AlphaPepe has become a leading example of that shift. AlphaPepe: A New Kind of Presale Success AlphaPepe has emerged as a standout performer in the presale landscape, blending the viral appeal of meme culture with serious investor protections and live utility. It’s not a speculative concept — it’s an operational presale that’s already delivering value before its official exchange debut. At its current presale price of $0.00722, AlphaPepe gives investors a ground-floor…
