BMW has redefined its iconic sedan. The newly unveiled BMW i3—the electric version of the beloved 3 Series – is making a bold statement, positioning itself as a leader in range and technology. Built on the revolutionary Neue Klasse platform, this vehicle isn’t just an EV; it is a technological quantum leap into a new era for the brand.

Record-Breaking Range and Ultra-Fast Charging
The headline feature of the new i3 is its exceptional range. Thanks to a massive 108 kWh battery and sixth-generation BMW eDrive technology, the vehicle achieves up to 895 kilometers on a single charge under the WLTP cycle. This remarkable figure places the i3 at the top of the production EV market in Europe.

However, the i3 is designed for more than just commuting; it is built for seamless long-distance travel. The 800-volt architecture enables DC fast charging at rates of up to 400 kW. In practical terms, this means drivers can recharge energy for up to 400 kilometers of range in just 10 minutes. It also supports bidirectional charging, including Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) functions.

Power and Performance
Launching initially as the BMW i3 xDrive, the sedan features dual electric motors on the front and rear axles. This setup generates a combined output of 469 horsepower and 645 Nm of torque, ensuring that the transition to electric power does not compromise the “Ultimate Driving Machine” DNA.

At the heart of this performance is a new high-performance computer called the “Heart of Joy.” Operating ten times faster than previous systems, it precisely controls the driving dynamics, making the handling feel impressively effortless and assured.

Design and Production
Visually, the i3 retains the classic sporty silhouette of the 3 Series – long wheelbase, short overhangs, and flared wheel arches – while introducing a modern “four-eyed” face where the grille and headlights merge into a single, expressive light signature. Inside, the new Panoramic iDrive defines a driver-oriented, spacious, and inviting cockpit.

Production of the new BMW i3 begins in August 2026 at the brand’s historic Munich plant, with first deliveries slated for later that year. The facility has undergone a massive transformation to support the shift toward an exclusively electric Neue Klasse future.

Michael Saylor Pushes Digital Capital Narrative At Bitcoin Treasuries Unconference

The post Michael Saylor Pushes Digital Capital Narrative At Bitcoin Treasuries Unconference appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. The suitcoiners are in town.  From a low-key, circular podium in the middle of a lavish New York City event hall, Strategy executive chairman Michael Saylor took the mic and opened the Bitcoin Treasuries Unconference event. He joked awkwardly about the orange ties, dresses, caps and other merch to the (mostly male) audience of who’s-who in the bitcoin treasury company world.  Once he got onto the regular beat, it was much of the same: calm and relaxed, speaking freely and with confidence, his keynote was heavy on the metaphors and larger historical stories. Treasury companies are like Rockefeller’s Standard Oil in its early years, Michael Saylor said: We’ve just discovered crude oil and now we’re making sense of the myriad ways in which we can use it — the automobile revolution and jet fuel is still well ahead of us.  Established, trillion-dollar companies not using AI because of “security concerns” make them slow and stupid — just like companies and individuals rejecting digital assets now make them poor and weak.  “I’d like to think that we understood our business five years ago; we didn’t.”  We went from a defensive investment into bitcoin, Saylor said, to opportunistic, to strategic, and finally transformational; “only then did we realize that we were different.” Michael Saylor: You Come Into My Financial History House?! Jokes aside, Michael Saylor is very welcome to the warm waters of our financial past. He acquitted himself honorably by invoking the British Consol — though mispronouncing it, and misdating it to the 1780s; Pelham’s consolidation of debts happened in the 1750s and perpetual government debt existed well before then — and comparing it to the gold standard and the future of bitcoin. He’s right that Strategy’s STRC product in many ways imitates the consols; irredeemable, perpetual debt, issued at par, with…

Non-Opioid Painkillers Have Struggled–Cannabis Drugs Might Be The Solution

Non-Opioid Painkillers Have Struggled–Cannabis Drugs Might Be The Solution

The post Non-Opioid Painkillers Have Struggled–Cannabis Drugs Might Be The Solution appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. In this week’s edition of InnovationRx, we look at possible pain treatments from cannabis, risks of new vaccine restrictions, virtual clinical trials at the Mayo Clinic, GSK’s $30 billion U.S. manufacturing commitment, and more. To get it in your inbox, subscribe here. Despite their addictive nature, opioids continue to be a major treatment for pain due to a lack of effective alternatives. In an effort to boost new drugs, the FDA released new guidelines for non-opioid painkillers last week. But making these drugs hasn’t been easy. Vertex Pharmaceuticals received FDA approval for its non-opioid Journavx in January, then abandoned a next generation drug after a failed clinical trial earlier this summer. Acadia similarly abandoned a promising candidate after a failed trial in 2022. One possible basis for non-opioids might be cannabis. Earlier this year, researchers at Washington University at St. Louis and Stanford published a study showing that a cannabis-derived compound successfully eased pain in mice with minimal side effects. Munich-based pharmaceutical company Vertanical is perhaps the furthest along in this quest. It is developing a cannabinoid-based extract to treat chronic pain it hopes will soon become an approved medicine, first in the European Union and eventually in the United States. The drug, currently called Ver-01, packs enough low levels of cannabinoids (including THC) to relieve pain, but not so much that patients get high. Founder Clemens Fischer, a 50-year-old medical doctor and serial pharmaceutical and supplement entrepreneur, hopes it will become the first cannabis-based painkiller prescribed by physicians and covered by insurance. Fischer founded Vertanical, with his business partner Madlena Hohlefelder, in 2017, and has invested more than $250 million of his own money in it. With a cannabis cultivation site and drug manufacturing plant in Denmark, Vertanical has successfully passed phase III clinical trials in Germany and expects…
