PANews reported on March 4th, citing CoinDesk, that NEAR co-founder Illia Polosukhin stated that the future users of blockchain will be AI agents, with AI serving as the front-end interface and blockchain as the back-end infrastructure. He believes AI will abstract away complex technologies like wallets and browsers, allowing users to complete payments, asset management, and governance voting without directly interacting with the blockchain. He pointed out that the proliferation of blockchain explorers actually exposes a failure at the level of technological abstraction. Polosukhin criticized Meme Coin for damaging the industry's reputation and deterring serious AI researchers. He believes that future AI systems will perform tasks such as paying bills and allocating capital on behalf of users, requiring blockchain to provide a trusted execution environment, privacy protection, and programmable financial coordination capabilities.
