SARANGANI, Philippines – A classroom shared by Grade 3 and Grade 4 students at Blala Elementary School in Barangay San Jose, General Santos City, was rendered unusable after the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck on June 8.
Another school building about 300 meters away remains structurally sound by comparison, but its two classrooms are already occupied by other grade levels, leaving little room to accommodate displaced students.
