Trump in 'real trouble' as new 'whopping' bad numbers reveal a major weakness: MS NOW
Donald Trump received more bad news on Thursday morning with MS NOW’s Jonathan Lemire reporting that voters are fed up with inflation during his watch, with the president reaching record low approval numbers.
According to Lemire, Trump is in “real trouble.”
“Only 21 percent of people surveyed approve of Trump's job handling over inflation and rising prices, while 70% disapprove,” the Morning Joe co-host began. “That puts Trump a whopping 49 points underwater, the lowest rating Trump has ever had on inflation. In fact, that's even lower than former Presidents Biden and Carter, when inflation was at its worst during their presidencies; when inflation reached just over 9 percent in June 2022 under Biden and nearly 13 percent in October 1980 under Carter.”
“For perspective, the current inflation rate is 3.2 percent, so a smaller number, but yet unhappiness [is] really high towards Trump,” he elaborated. “So when it comes to the cost of living, the poll found that 75 percent of independents and 45 percent of Republicans surveyed say the country is on the wrong track.”
“This is why so many in the GOP are deathly afraid of November’s midterms," he added.
