  • YGG Play and Verse8 concluded the Casual Degen track at BuidlHack 2026 in Seoul after 120 teams submitted playable games.
  • Bank or Plank, a 3D multiplayer pirate board game by solo creator Wabbs, won first place after being built and tested in under a month.
  • Winning teams shared a US$5,000 prize pool and may receive Verse8 ecosystem support or YGG Play publishing consideration.

YGG Play and Verse8 have crowned Bank or Plank as the winner of BuidlHack 2026’s Casual Degen track, after 120 teams used AI tools to build playable crypto-native games in Seoul.

The hackathon ran during Korea BUIDL Week and focused on fast, accessible Web3 games built with Verse8’s generative AI creation tools.

Organisers said leading teams moved from concept to functional prototypes in under a month, compressing work that usually requires traditional game-engine pipelines. The final showcase took place on April 18 after an in-person Builder Day on April 14, where teams refined mechanics with Verse8, YGG Play and industry operators.

Winners shared a US$5,000 (AU$7,150) prize pool and will receive ongoing support through Verse8’s creator ecosystem, with standout projects considered for YGG Play publishing.

Bank Or Plank Wins

Bank or Plank took first place with a pirate-themed 3D multiplayer board game built by solo creator Wabbs, who competed online. The game asks players to gather and bank gold before a 5-minute limit or adverse events cause them to lose their loot.

The judges also recognised Dungeon Raising, an idle action game, in second place. Gas Wars, Black Hole Survivor and Attack on Idol tied for third after demonstrating lightweight gameplay with embedded onchain features.

YGG Play has positioned Casual Degen games as a faster, simpler category of Web3 entertainment built around repeatable loops and crypto-native monetisation.

The BuidlHack results gave the publisher a live test of whether AI-assisted teams can produce enough quality and retention to feed that pipeline.

Gabby Dizon, co-founder of Yield Guild Games and one of the judges, said demand for Casual Degen experiences is real, especially among people who do not think of themselves as gamers. He said the quality and creativity of the entries showed the model could be repeatable and sustainable for Web3 games over the long term.

One Of Frank Sinatra’s Most Famous Albums Is Back In The Spotlight

The post One Of Frank Sinatra’s Most Famous Albums Is Back In The Spotlight appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Frank Sinatra’s The World We Knew returns to the Jazz Albums and Traditional Jazz Albums charts, showing continued demand for his timeless music. Frank Sinatra performs on his TV special Frank Sinatra: A Man and his Music Bettmann Archive These days on the Billboard charts, Frank Sinatra’s music can always be found on the jazz-specific rankings. While the art he created when he was still working was pop at the time, and later classified as traditional pop, there is no such list for the latter format in America, and so his throwback projects and cuts appear on jazz lists instead. It’s on those charts where Sinatra rebounds this week, and one of his popular projects returns not to one, but two tallies at the same time, helping him increase the total amount of real estate he owns at the moment. Frank Sinatra’s The World We Knew Returns Sinatra’s The World We Knew is a top performer again, if only on the jazz lists. That set rebounds to No. 15 on the Traditional Jazz Albums chart and comes in at No. 20 on the all-encompassing Jazz Albums ranking after not appearing on either roster just last frame. The World We Knew’s All-Time Highs The World We Knew returns close to its all-time peak on both of those rosters. Sinatra’s classic has peaked at No. 11 on the Traditional Jazz Albums chart, just missing out on becoming another top 10 for the crooner. The set climbed all the way to No. 15 on the Jazz Albums tally and has now spent just under two months on the rosters. Frank Sinatra’s Album With Classic Hits Sinatra released The World We Knew in the summer of 1967. The title track, which on the album is actually known as “The World We Knew (Over and…
