Ripple Shows Lightning-Fast $92.5M RLUSD Transfer, Proving Banks May Be in Trouble

In a striking demonstration of its technological prowess, Ripple recently moved $92.5 million worth of its stablecoin, RLUSD, on the XRP Ledger in mere seconds, settling the transaction for an astonishingly low fee of just $0.000183.

Market analyst Xaif Crypto highlighted this transfer as a clear signal that Ripple’s innovations are setting new standards for speed, cost-efficiency, and reliability in digital payments, potentially challenging traditional banking systems.

This transaction is not an isolated feat. Last month, Ripple executed a single on-chain movement of 20 million XRP, paying only 0.000015 XRP in fees.

Such seamless transfers underscore the XRP Ledger’s capacity for handling massive financial flows without the delays or high costs associated with conventional banking infrastructure.

By combining scalability, security, and ultra-low transaction fees, Ripple continues to carve out a strong position as a viable alternative for global payments.

At the heart of this momentum is RLUSD, Ripple’s cutting-edge stablecoin. Designed for stability and speed, RLUSD allows corporates and financial institutions to move funds with the predictability of a fiat currency while leveraging the advantages of blockchain technology.

Xaif Crypto notes that these innovations position Ripple to give banks a run for their money, as traditional payment rails cannot match the combination of speed, transparency, and cost-efficiency that Ripple offers.

Ripple’s RLUSD Gains Global Traction, Redefining Cross-Border Finance

Adding to this momentum, RLUSD recently gained broader adoption through its listing on South Korea’s crypto exchange, Coinone.

This move opens up one of Asia’s most vibrant markets to Ripple’s stablecoin, enhancing liquidity, accessibility, and institutional confidence in RLUSD as a reliable medium of exchange. South Korea’s embrace of RLUSD signals growing international recognition of Ripple’s enterprise-focused solutions.

Well, Ripple is evolving into a full-scale financial infrastructure. By combining the lightning-fast, low-cost XRP Ledger with enterprise-ready stablecoins like RLUSD, it’s reshaping how institutions send, settle, and manage money.

With growing adoption across Asia, Europe, and beyond, Ripple is cutting friction in cross-border payments and challenging legacy banking systems.

Furthermore, Ripple’s recent high-value transactions aren’t just numbers, they’re proof that blockchain can deliver efficiency, speed, and scale that traditional banks struggle to match. Ripple is emerging as a formidable force in the future of global finance.

Conclusion

Ripple’s $92.5 million RLUSD transfer highlights the platform’s unmatched combination of speed, security, and near-zero fees, advantages traditional banks can’t match.

With the XRP Ledger and enterprise-ready stablecoins like RLUSD gaining global traction, including a recent listing on South Korea’s Coinone exchange, Ripple is doing more than moving money, it’s redefining how institutions transact and manage funds.

As adoption accelerates, Ripple is proving that blockchain isn’t just a technology, it’s a practical, efficient, and scalable alternative to legacy finance, positioning itself at the forefront of the future of global payments.

Digital asset custodian BDACS has launched KRW1, South Korea’s first fully regulated won-backed stablecoin, in partnership with Woori Bank. The announcement follows completion of a proof of concept validating technical infrastructure spanning fiat deposits, token issuance, and blockchain verification, as per a Thursday press release. The company trademarked the KRW1 brand in December 2023, building infrastructure before the advent of formal regulations. KRW1 launched on the Avalanche blockchain, chosen for its “high-performance capabilities” and recognition by Korea’s Internet & Security Agency for “reliability in public-sector applications.” “The successful test pilot of KRW1 demonstrates the need for a highly-performant and reliable blockchain tailored for a regulatory-compliant stablecoin,” Justin Kim, Head of Asia at Ava Labs, said in the statement. BDACS envisions KRW1 serving remittances, payments, investments, and deposits, with public-sector deployment planned for low-cost payment and settlement systems in emergency relief disbursements.
