Anthropic Plans to Publicly File Its Prospectus After September 7
According to The Information, artificial intelligence company Anthropic is considering allowing existing shareholders to sell part of their holdings in its initial public offering and plans to publicly disclose its prospectus after September 7. Allowing existing shareholders to participate could provide liquidity to early investors and employees. However, the number of shares to be sold, offering price and final listing date have not yet been disclosed. Once published, the prospectus will provide further details about the company’s revenue, cost structure, ownership arrangements and potential risks.
USD1 Ranks Fourth With a $4 Billion Market Cap as UAE National Security Adviser and Co-Investors Hold 49% of WLFI’s Parent Company
According to Odaily, UAE National Security Adviser Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed al Nahyan and his co-investors hold a 49% stake in World Liberty Financial’s parent company. The company is seeking a U.S. national trust bank charter, with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency granting preliminary approval to its application several weeks ago. It plans to provide stablecoin issuance and redemption, fiat on- and off-ramp, and custody services. USD1 has reached a market capitalization of $4 billion, ranking fourth among stablecoins. The White House said the arrangement does not constitute a conflict of interest.
OCC and FDIC Move to Link Unsafe Banking Practices to Legal Violations or Material Financial Risks
According to Fox Business, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation are moving to finalize a rule defining “unsafe or unsound practices” in banking supervision. Under the proposed standard, regulators would need to connect such findings to actual legal violations or material financial risks, reducing their ability to rely on vague reputational or procedural concerns. The rule could lower the risk of regulatory pressure on banks serving lawful customers, including cryptocurrency companies, and is viewed as another step toward dismantling “Operation Choke Point 2.0.”
Trump Media Abandons Truth Predict and Shifts to Promoting Crypto.com’s Prediction Market Products
According to Bitcoin.com News, Trump Media has abandoned plans to integrate the Truth Predict prediction market into Truth Social. It will instead promote Crypto.com’s existing prediction market products through a marketing agreement. Interim CEO Kevin McGurn said prediction markets have become a competitive sector dominated by established companies, and Trump Media will concentrate its resources on its media business and proposed merger with TAE Technologies. Virtu Financial, M1X Global and Tradeweb Complete First On-Chain Repo Backed by a Sovereign Digital Bond in Under 10 Minutes
According to Cointelegraph, Virtu Financial, M1X Global and Tradeweb completed an on-chain repurchase agreement using the Republic of the Marshall Islands’ USDM1 sovereign digital bond as collateral. The entire transaction was conducted on Canton Network and settled in under 10 minutes. USDM1 is a U.S. dollar-denominated on-chain sovereign bond backed 1:1 by short-term U.S. Treasuries and continues to pay interest while used as collateral. The parties described it as the first repo combining natively issued sovereign digital collateral with fully on-chain atomic settlement.
Trump-Linked Crypto Projects Have Cost Investors at Least $4.7 Billion, Public Citizen Says
According to Cointelegraph, consumer advocacy organization Public Citizen said digital asset projects involving Donald Trump and his family have caused investors at least $4.7 billion in losses since 2022. The projects include World Liberty Financial’s governance token, NFT trading cards, TRUMP and Trump Media’s digital asset treasury. TRUMP investors reportedly lost approximately $3.2 billion, while USD1 holders did not suffer significant losses. According to Chomp, the anonymous question-and-answer social game has raised $3.6 million in a financing round co-led by Jsquare and Blueyard. RQD Clearing Raises $74 Million in Bain Capital-Led Financing
According to CoinDesk, U.S. clearing and custody provider RQD Clearing has raised $74 million in a financing round led by Bain Capital Tech Opportunities, with participation from ABN AMRO Clearing Bank and Nyca Partners. The funding will support expansion across North America, Asia and the Middle East, as well as further development of digital asset custody and tokenization infrastructure. RQD has processed approximately 515 million equity trades worth nearly $2 trillion this year, representing about 2.4% of U.S. National Market System equity trading volume.
