President Donald Trump’s 19-year-old son Barron is reportedly close friends with Justin Waller, an influencer in the so-called “manosphere” who preaches mistreatment of women.
In the new Netflix documentary Louis Theroux: Inside the Manosphere, the 40-year-old Waller bragged that he had befriended Barron and in general joined Trump’s “inner circle.”
“I had dinner with Barron at Mar-a-Lago,” Waller said. “I met Donald that night. I’ve been to Mar-a-Lago four or five times.”
Manosphere influencers like Waller preach the belief that men are inherently superior to women and should be able to control women’s lives. They argue for patriarchal values in which women exist only to serve men domestically and sexually. Waller specifically advocates one-way monogamy wherein women are expected to be faithful to men but men are socially permitted to sleep with as many women as they desire.
Waller is not the only manosphere influencer to find his way into Barron Trump’s good graces. In December, The New York Times reported that Trump is close friends with Andrew Tate, another manosphere influencer who has been accused of multiple counts of sex trafficking and rape. Like Waller, Tate is an outspoken advocate of far right politics across the board, but focuses on teaching that men are superior to and should dominate women.
Thanks to Barron Trump’s instigation, Tate was allowed to leave Romania where he had been under house arrest since 2022 on allegations of coercing women into pornography, rape and pedophilia. Tate had previously been barred from leaving the country, but Barron Trump intervened to help him.
“I had word from The Trump admin that they’re on top of things,” Tate wrote at one point regarding the younger Trump’s assistance. “Ive been told I'll be free soon but Trump needs to see me in Miami.”
One month later, the Times reported, “an extraordinary order came down from the highest levels of the Romanian government” in which “the prosecutors were told to find a compromise with the Tates. Despite their misgivings, they lifted the travel restrictions, a move that Romania’s prime minister thought would appease the Trump administration.”
“We’re massively back,” Tate declared after the legal victory.
Although a legal adult, media outlets have traditionally been shy about covering the youngest Trump child in a critical way. First Lady Melania Trump has directly encouraged this, saying in January that Barron is “a child” and requires her constant supervision. Despite this kid gloves treatment, Trump is already worth $150 million according to the Nasdaq and is legally eligible to serve in the military, which he has refrained from doing despite his father provoking wars in Venezuela and Iran.
"America is strong because its leaders are strong. President Trump proves that every day,” declared the creators of a website called DraftBarronTrump.com. “Naturally, his son Barron is more than ready to defend the country his father so boldly commands. Service is honor. Strength is inherited. Dog (sic) Bless Barron.”
The site added, "This site is dedicated to honoring the strongest and bravest voices in war. When power is projected abroad, it is only right that strength exists at home. If you’re looking for proven genes, inherited courage, and unquestionable resolve, look no further than the Trump family. Leadership starts somewhere.”
