The far-right can't hide its disdain for a parody of one of their own, while plenty of others had no problem enjoying the jokes.
The Onion released its first clip of the new and, for many, improved Infowars since taking it over. The parody news site released a skit on Saturday by Comedian Tim Heidecker where he imitates conspiracy theorist Alex Jones and his too-loud, raspy voice, and pretends to sip human blood to mock Jones' frequent hawking of questionable health supplements.

While right-wingers like podcast host Matt Forney called it "trash" in a post on X, journalist Dean Blundell described Heidecker's performance as "perfection."
"Tim Heidecker is a genius," educator Jen Shultz praised. Political analyst Rachel Bitecofer celebrated that "they found an impresionist to troll Alex Jones."
"I am enjoying the new Infowars," podcast host Brian Shapiro wrote. "I have a feeling Alex Jones won't like it," Brian Krassenstein quipped. "Tim Heidecker has perfected his Alex Jones," writer Corey Atad posted.
Conservative blogger Sara Radovanovitch said Heidecker was "embarrassing himself." MAGA podcast host Kyle Seraphin called Heidecker a "cringe comic."
Former Proud Boys member Mike Lasater commented that "you can tell Tim doesn't understand Alex at all," and "his comedic talents are being sidelined."
