PANews reported on February 16 that, according to Donga, 22 bitcoins held by the Gangnam Police Station in South Korea have been confirmed to have been transferred out of the country. This was reportedly discovered during a nationwide investigation following the disclosure of a bitcoin theft case at the Gwangju District Prosecutors' Office. The bitcoins, currently valued at approximately 2.1 billion won, were voluntarily submitted assets received by police during their investigation in 2021.
